This photography project is being continually developed and edited.
Please don't assume my notes on this page and the associated blog are necessarily 100% accurate - this is not my intention. Instead I'm planning to develop the material and imagery as I proceed, which will be greatly enhanced if I receive feedback and ideas from anyone discovering my project. So if you wish to contribute you can contact me via this website or the associated Instagram account @EveryOsSquare. (Apologies as I can't make this clickable - Instagram require me to have a business account).
The blog, which is one long, evolving, document can be found here
Here's a roughly drawn map with grid references to navigate through the blog:

The project: to photo &/or record something interesting from every 1 km Ordnance Survey map square centred around Alresford in Hampshire - all 768 of them.
I'm not restricting myself with any time constraints or targets as I intend for the project to grow organically, replacing or adding entries for each square as I proceed. Whilst primarily this is a photography project I will be adding notes along the way, which I expect to include references to natural history, historical snippets, folklore, local interest, geology etc. Hopefully, as the material/imagery develops I'll start to receive ideas and stories from people who make contact.
I suspect my developing love of B&W will start to dominate, this project, especially if I drift towards a documentary style and include portraits.
The 768 squares include Winchester Cathedral. As this Norman building and the clergy have numerous historical links to this area, references to the cathedral will likely be frequent. Also, as I volunteer as a (tower) guide there I'm always on the lookout for material and local historical connections I can call upon when I'm asked especially tricky questions :-)
I'll be walking, cycling and driving around the area for some time to come. Well that's the plan. Time to get out there ...
